Condensation

Condensation

Here's a bit of an update into my life recently:

1. School.

That's why I haven't been on Flickr. I'm taking eight courses and there is a lot of reading to do. Last Wednesday, I finally got the last of my books, so in the days since then, I've been catching up on the chapters I wasn't able to read. I'm getting there...but being off of Flickr on a regular basis is probably for the best while I'm in school.

Did anyone else have a huge number of views in their stats yesterday? I had 1668, which is 10 times more than I usually get on any given day!

The Softest Thing on Earth

The Softest Thing on Earth

Alright, so I went to buy my books today, but only one was available...so I only have so many books available to read...so I'm gonna post another picture, since I seem to be getting a lot of views lately.

It's also been a while since I posted a picture of Terrance! It's amazing what you can find when you look closely.

Anyway, now I'm off to band practice, even though I've been falling asleep since probably 3pm, hahaha. Tomorrow night I have to be in bed by 8pm. No more staying up until 11:30!

I've been waiting to post this picture for a long time, because I really like it... so here it is! I'm sure some of you recognize this object!

I plan on buying some or all of my school books tomorrow, so this may well be the last picture I post on Flickr for a while. I really don't know how much work this program is going to involve, but I know it's going to be "a lot", hahaha, so if you guys see me on Flickr every day, please remind me to get back to my schoolwork!

Sherbourne Station

Sherbourne Station

This is the pic I was going to post yesterday. I took this while I was on a TTC adventure with AshtonPal in September. I didn't know this entrance existed, so I'm glad he showed it to me, because I had a hard time getting a good shot of the other Sherbourne entrance!

Anyway, I've been printing stuff for school...it's hard to believe how much paper is necessary for this program. When I was in university, the course syllabi/syllabuses were usually one page; maybe two. This time, they're all at least 8 pages long. It's ridiculous. It seems to be because they're all standardized to some official college-regulated format. I guess it's just something I'm going to have to get used to. I'm glad I bought a laser printer a few months ago! It's so much faster!

Tomorrow is my only late-start day of the week, haha. I get to sleep in until 8:30! I've compared my schedule to those of a few other people in other programs, and it's not fair that I have to get up around 6:30am four days a week...but I suppose it's not all bad -- this means that I'm going to bed at the same time almost every day, which means I won't be on a wonky sleep schedule like I was in university -- going to bed at 2:30am one night, and having to go to bed at 10:00pm the next.

Hope you guys had a good weekend!

Barcelona

Barcelona

I was going to post a TTC pic tonight, but I remembered this one, which I created about a month ago.

I took these two pictures in Barcelona on August 30th (left) and September 1st (right), 2008. You can see the individual pictures in my Spain set.

The picture on the left was taken from the hotel we stayed in; most likely from the roof. The pointy building in the distance is the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia, which is the most impressive building I've ever seen, and if you go to Barcelona, I recommend going there above all else.

The picture on the right was taken from high up inside one of the spires of the Sagrada Familia, which conveniently didn't have glass on the windows. The phallic-shaped tower in the distance is the grey building in the foreground of the first picture, and the hotel is visible behind it.

I don't remember whether I planned the shots to work this way, but I'm really happy with it! It's best viewed large.

I was commenting on Facebook earlier today about how nice it is to see the sun shine into my apartment! My old apartment had some sunlight for short periods of the day, but it's nothing compared to this. As someone who loves natural light, it makes me happy! It didn't hurt that it was +10°C today!
