Little soul
“You are a little soul carrying about a corpse, as Epictetus used to say.”
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
About a week ago I came across Epictetus in a magazine and I was very inspired by his way of thinking and dealing with situations. Epictetus was an ancient Greek philosopher. Of course he was a typical stoic, so his philosophy is something in the line of: "There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power or our will.” Or in normal words: stop worrying about the things you can't change (aka everything) and only truly worry about what is fully yours (thus only your thoughts). I think I should realize this more often, that some things are beyond my abilities and no matter what I try to do, some things cannot be altered by the human mind.
Also, today marks exactly one month until I'll have my last exam. Hey ho, let's go.
