Well. When I was a college freshman I went to a somewhat-out-of-control campus party where the entertainers were the still pretty young Ike and Tina Turner. It was of course a real coup even at that early date (late sixties) to have landed them for this party, and in all truth I don't remember being that sure who they were.

Late into the frenzy I was at the front of the crowd, my jaw hanging agape I am quite sure. Tina spotted me there (in the way a lioness goes after the youngest and weakest in a fleeing herd of antelope, I have since reflected), and pulled me out to "dance" with her. In other words, she positioned me for a full frontal assault and then bumped and grinded me back into the pack.

I was eighteen, and it's still the closest I have come in my life to having a heart attack.
