Big fat camera shy rattlesnake

It was trying to get away from me. The focus isn't great - but if you view large the texture is wild.

Great shot! This one looks significantly different from the Western Diamondbacks we have down here. Almost looks like a type of sidewinder due to the raised eyes.

Oh yes, now I remember why I like Saskatchewan - no rattlesnakes! I gather they maybe are not as dangerous as their reputation makes them seem, from your non-chalant close up photo??

Yikes! Moos...a little close for my comfort. I know how they don't like to "run" off but stand their ground. It's really a great shot and the colors and texture are fine but it gives me the willies. Brave brave woman. I found a baby bull snake yesterday and it made me jump. I know that means there's a big one out there somewhere. ew.
