2 to 3 million people in America have elected to have the corneal laser-assisted surgery, known as Lasik. In spite of its growing popularity very little about the long term effects are known. 2 to 3 % of Lasik patients have severe symptoms, now even depression and suicide is being found. In this collage I have used the eye, and the cornea as a metaphor to what we know about our Earth's atmosphere. We can destroy this part of our world by careless living. In this analogy to the eye, are we not interfering in our own atmosphere when we laser the cornea? When are we going to realize that slicing into precious God given biological tissue is not a substitute for conscious seeing and living?
