Downtown Fort Scott, Kansas

Downtown Fort Scott has retained much of its old-fashioned (some say quaint) look, in keeping with its place in the history of early Kansas. These shops and restaurants are across the street from the restored military fort. I highly recommend the retaurant in the yellow and green building to the far right - great for pizza, sandwiches, and ice cream.

The downtown of Fort Scott seems to be human scaled and oriented.
We can call it also old fashioned.
