This brick house is well designed, with the beginning of Gill's signature arch - in this case the arch more from the Romaneque and Prairie Schools than Gill's own.

Seventh Street on Banker's Hill should be a National Register Historic District, if for one reason only -- it showcases the early career of Gill from designing Craftsman, classically styled houses, and Wrightian Prairie School houses with Hebbard. Gill, who trained with Wright in Chicago at the Adler & Sullivan firm, is considered a pioneer of the Modernist Movement.
