I just added a long-awaited lens to my arsenal, the 35mm 1.4L. The suggestion for the lens came from one of my favorite photogs, Richard, and it was one that stuck - bolstered by the fact that Canon is currently offering $100 off! I went out on Monday to take some shots around the neighborhood, because let's face it, when I get out of the house in the evenings, it's mos often accompanied by Atlas.
We love visiting a few local fountains where he sits on the edge and tries to swat at bubbles while not letting himself fall in. This is one of his favorite "urban" activities.
I was so pleased with the images in my camera I couldn't wait to upload them. However, I hit a snag when I got home and found that my CF card had corrupted and it appeared I had lost EVERYTHING.
After nearly two days of tinkering with CF card recovery programs, borrowing a PC flash drive (thanks Justin), and crossing my fingers, I FINALLY found the images and in the process ordered new CF cards to replace my old and obviously unreliable ones. Yeesh.
