I guess there are some advantages to staying home on occasion. Today, I finally had a chance to download two weekends worth of images. Yay! I was most anxious to see how the yellow Desert Mariposa Lilies I shot in Wildrose Canyon turned out. I was not disappointed!
There are other nice ones in the bunch, but the lighting on this made it the overwhelming favorite. It was late in the day and the sun was low on the horizon. Many of the lilies had started closing up, but this one clearly wanted to drink up the last rays of sunlight. So glad I was there to capture this.
Please come follow my latest endeavor, the Wildflower Conservancy. You'll find lots of helpful information as well as reports from recent wildflower sightings. Thank you!
