i cut these flowers and brought them in the other day before they bloomed and they've been blooming, a couple at a time, in jars ever since. when i get up in the morning and go downstairs to feed finley and drink my tea, the morning sunlight streams through the window and lights up the yellow petals and casts a gorgeous shadow across the table.
it makes me SO happy.

i really want to plant a garden devoted to flowers i can cut and bring inside all spring and summer long. i need to do my research and head to the store to shop for seeds!

*categorizing this as "spring" even though it's still february. just doesn't feel right to categorize it as winter, you know?

i re-scanned the first roll of film i developed at home (back in august) this morning and replaced the appropriate images in my photostream with new scans. (the first several photos in my home developed set)
