The subject of this shot is the wall in the center of the image. As per the assigment requirements the wall, along with everythign else is totally procedural Procedural bricks are proving to be very hard to get looking good. Here is evidence of a few experiments i'm doing. The first is you will notice a few individual blocks that are different colors, like in a real wall. This was a big test to see if indeed I could isolate individual bricks and change thier color in a totally procedural wall. It worked :) The other experiment is the white that you see in an attempt to mimic the fact that your typical brick wall has very unclean mortar. By that I mean that typicall the mortar is slopped on thier and tends to overlap the bricks and run in rough lines across the wall. Overall this wall is starting to look pretty good I think. #wpid:4001# Would you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |
