Two summers ago I had to pleasure to shoot amazing violinist Chelsey Green.
Classically soloing in New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall at age 16, Green has been honored to perform in many highly regarded venues around the world, with several symphonies, and at many churches and congregations across the nation.
Recently, Green has performed at the 2011 Essence Music Festival, the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, The Music Center at Strathmore, the 9:30 Club, the famed Blues Alley nightclub, the BET Studios, The John F. Kennedy Center, The Washington Post Summer Concert Series, Baltimore’s African American Heritage Festival, and the 2010 DMV Awards where she won Best Alternative Artist.
Having shared the stage with internationally renowned artists including Roberta Flack, MC Lyte, Denyce Graves, and ?uestlove and Black Thought of The Roots, emerging artist Chelsey Alyse Green, The Green Violinist, is certainly “environmentally sound” when it comes to today’s popular music scene.
