Week 7/52 : Magnolias

Week 7/52 : Magnolias

Week 7 - busy week as usual. Flowers started to bloom all across campus including this beautiful magnolia tree. This may not be the best flower photo, but I tried, haha. There was nothing too eventful this week, so this is what I came up with.

Week 6/52 - Circle K - Car Smash

Week 6/52 - Circle K - Car Smash

Ever feel like de-stressing by smashing a car? On Friday, Circle K brought out this junkyard car that students could release all their stress on. It was pretty cool, the school let the event occur near the main lawn and people could just come by and take a whack at it. This was a fundraiser, so there was a fee, but besides that, the opportunity to hit a car without worrying about being sued could not be passed up. People sledgehammered, baseball batted, spray painted, and keyed the car. This week was pretty tiring for me and I feel drained, good thing I got my daily car sledgehaming!

Week 5/52 - Rho Pi Phi - Bid

Week 5/52 - Rho Pi Phi - Bid

Hello world, this past week felt very long and there was so much happening. From professional fraternity bids coming out to studying for the Bio midterm. I'm definitely glad it is the weekend and I can finally get a temporary break from it all. So I chose this photo for this week because it signifies the beginning of a lifelong journey. Bids for Professional Pharmacy Fraternities came out Monday night and even though I rushed for 2 fraternities, I only got a bid from Rho Pi Phi. Although RPP was not my first choice, I I believe I made the right decision to join and pledge for Rho Pi Phi. I hope to gain the friendships, relationships, and connections with each of the members and that I can continue to grow in the organization. For those who are not too familiar with fraternities, Professional fraternities are different from social fraternities and the pledging processes is a type of initiation process. No one ever tells us what we do...all they say is that we will learn 'time management'...and secretly that our GPAs will drop during those 3 weeks of pledging. Either way, I hope it will be a great experience!

Week 4/52 : Classroom Setting

Week 4/52 : Classroom Setting

I feel much better this week in terms of being able to manage my classes and assignments, it all just takes some time getting used to. So, as some of you reading this may know, I have had the great opportunity to take photos for Housing & Greek Life at my university and one of my current assignments is to take photos of people, places, things that represent my view of college as a freshman. I asked one of my professors if I could take photos of her as she taught in class and she was glad to help me out. I would have posted up one of the photos I took of her, but I don't think it would be right to use her photo for my own personal use. I ended up taking more photos than just of her during class. People were whispering and wondering why I was taking photos in class..I didn't tell them. Anyways, I like this photo for its simplicity, but also that the acronym of one of our organizations at school is so clearly shown. This would definitely work for my assignment. As a side note, ASuop stands for the Associated Students of the University of the Pacific.

Week 3/52 : Vans

Week 3/52 : Vans

Alright, well this week was super busy, I feel like I'm back in HS doing work whenever I have free time. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, studying more than necessary? Anyways, I am somewhat iffy with the photo for this week. I just took it a couple of hours ago and today is Sunday, so from all the days in the week, I end up doing the photo on Sunday..sad. So I bought these Vans over winter break, I needed a new pair of shoes because the ones I have are falling apart, plus I wanted reliable shoes that would be good for skating. Even though I'm not completely happy with these shoes, they will just have to do. They had different shoelaces on them before and picky me, I had my dad buy and mail me a black pair of shoelaces that I ended up cutting because they were too long. All this trouble lasted 2 weeks and now I can finally wear the shoes. Thank goodness!

Photo: Turned out, okay.
