Arlington Cemetery - Changing of the Guards

One of my favorite parts of the trip was observing the changing of the guards at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Arlington Cemetery, Washington, D.C.).

The dark spots on the ground are the places where the marble floor have been worn down from these soldiers taking the same steps, over and over and over again, guarding the tomb.
