'Limited Editions' Window Display in Art Framed!

'Limited Editions' Window Display in Art Framed!

'Art Framed', the Gallery/Framing Store in Ormskirk, Lancashire has given over an entire window to display a batch of my new 'Limited Edition' prints...
John, the ownwer, (pictured here) has been a regular supporter of mine for some time now and decided to give the collection a full window display when I dropped it off in late December. These limited editions are only available from two places...here in 'Art Framed', and Samlesbury Hall...so if you get the chance, go and have a look...and pop in and have a chat with John or Emma!

Late...again!

Late...again!

One of the beauties of landscape photography is that you can totally immerse yourself in what you're doing and, for a period of time, nothing else matters! You can escape the pressures of everyday life and simply enjoy your surroundings...whilst doing your best to capture what you're seeing in a 2-dimensional format.
Occasionally, though this 'escapism' will bite you on the ass...especially if you don't pay attention
to the time and have to catch the last ferry from Pooley Bridge back to Glenridding!

Dawn over Ullswater...

Dawn over Ullswater...

Even on those really early mornings when you don’t get the conditions, and thus the shot, you were after, it does wonders for the soul just being the only one around! But when you get the shot as well, then it’s one of the finest feelings there is! Having checked where the sun was going to rise and that the weather forecast was saying there was ‘a slight chance of mist’, I was down early standing on the banks of Ullswater and hoping for some warm dawn colours to be diffused through the mist and maybe a passing bird..just to add a bit of 'life'..

My Best Side?

My Best Side?

This cheeky chap seemed intent on getting his picture taken...from sitting on the tripod whilst getting my camera out of the bag through to sitting on the branch in a variety of positions. After taking a couple of shots here, I wandered round the edge of the Lake and finally sat back in the same spot again...only for him to reappear and stay for the entire time that I finished my flask of coffee.

Stormy Dawn

Stormy Dawn

For my first ‘photographic visit’ to the North East we decided to stay in the small hamlet of ‘Low Newton by the Sea’ which was ideally situated to access many of the local coastline features. This shot was the result of a ‘recce’ the day before to the village of Craster. Although there are views looking towards Dunstanburgh Castle from this shoreline, I was more taken with the combination of rocky outcrops and the imposing cloud formations overhead.
