DoAll Job Selector

My favourite.
it should be compulsory to write "continuous" without lifting the pen.
that dates it somewhat - maybe its earlier than I thought
oh no you dont
DoAll Job Selector by Justin Cormack.
Once machinery came from and was used in England. Not sure what date this is, perhaps 1950s, but the saw is still in use. Not sure the typefaces are though.

It turns out that DoALL is an American company, which traces its history back to 1919. Oddly no mention of any UK arm.

Heh, when I saw the thumbnail of this photo in my Contacts page, it looked like the label of an old vinyl record. But then I wondered: "Who's that Mr Job Selector? I can't remember such a musician or band" - haha.

Bakelite plastic is still used for some things, so it only dates it in the sense that other plastics aren't listed.

We still make these saws in Savage, Minnesota (south suburb of Minneapolis) at Continental Machines Inc. Our parent company is DoALL based in the Chicago area. It's still a family-owned business, owned by the Wilke family. One of the original Wilke brothers and co-founder of the company was the inventor of the band saw.

We still have people buying parts for saws built in the 40's and 50's. Not all of the old parts are still available, but if we have a print and can machine the part, we will usually still make it unless it is too cost prohibitive or we can't get the proper raw material or we no longer have the right tooling or fixtures.

We have a distribution network in Europe (called DoALL Europa) but no manufacturing there and none in the past that I am aware of. I could be wrong though, as I've only been there for 10 years.
