Muni driver confronts an angry passenger (UPDATED)

The passenger (right) claimed the bus driver (left) slammed the door in his face and said he didn't care about the passenger's disability. So, the passenger sat down on the bike rack and refused to move.

I took this picture moments after he called the Muni driver a "motherfucker."

A dozen or so riders got off the bus and started yelling at the guy to leave. He finally did, when the cops showed up. No arrests.

    Update (12/10) -- Passenger writes:

I have a degenerative bone disease in my knee, which makes walking rather painful, which is why I needed a seat so badly. I had medical documentation from my doctor in my pocket which the driver refused to look at when offered. "I don't give a shit about that" were Mr. Driver's exact words.

I don't look disabled, but my ex-rays & medical records tell a different story. I would hope that people hearing my story will think about showing compassion to those of us with disabilities & physical ailments.

I emailed Paul Rose, Media Relations Manager for SFMTA, and will include another update if and when I get a response.
