Mimi Ito: HDR Portrait

Mimi Ito: HDR Portrait by justin.
Another high dynamic range portrait - Mimi is sitting on the grass outside of the Annenberg Center for Communications. She chose a pose she could hold still while I took varying exposures using a Sony DSC-R1. Then imported into Photomatix and finally resized in Photoshop.

The version that came out from Photomatix has a deeper color range, before I downsampled it to JPG. I'm gonna see if I can tweak settings to get that exposure right. It was overcast - that affected the light and density.

what would happen if someone sat perfectly still but puffed a cigarette all the way down while you shot multiple exposures?

i like the green circle of peace that seems to be lulling Mimi, and that she's in the quieter earth part.
