    Interesting. I always imagined these as more regular and as a one-capsule-per-pixel deal.

    It's possible that for "pixel addressable" displays (unlike these) the capsules are in a grid. What's more likely is that the capsules are smaller than one "pixel" so that there are multiple capsules per "pixel".
