Since wolves are the size of some domesticated dogs, it's hard to remember they are NOT domesticated. That's a difference from big cats... No house cat is ever as big as a cougar or tiger.

Even sitting with wolf/dog hybrids will quickly disabuse you of domestication. Being analyzed by intelligent, hungry yellow eyes will produce goosebumps and a renewed genetic validation that you are prey.

A shout out to Wildlife Waystation and Martine where I learned to love, admire and the difference.

      Very scruffy and long-legged.

Yes, long legged critters, aren't they.

      Great photo.

Beautiful animals, but they lead a harsh and difficult life that, compared to dogs, is usually much shorter. Wonderful wildlife photo.

      is it the same couple?

also it is truly amazing how human emotions-feelings can be projected easily in this case - on these two pairs of wolves... it is obvious about the kissing one but even the second pair marching together - looking like they are in a conversation... cool catch!

nope, looks like a different couple..
