LSJUMB Reunion Serenade

LSJUMB Reunion Serenade by jurvetson.
There’s something timeless about The Band, like a pattern in the stream.
The faces change but the song remains the same.

The horns still have more rhythm than the Dollies, and the whacked out drum section plays everything, from a Stop sign to the kitchen sink.

Here’s a video mélange from this weekend.

I used to go to Stanford games...just to see the band. I'd go to the stadium in the 4th quarter, by bike from my Palo Alto home ( 'cause by then it was free), just to get a good seat for the world's largest rock'n'roll band: The Stanford Leland Jr. University Marching Band, one of human life's greatest outpouring of raw enthusiasm and spirit. If the football team were operating at that level...

Go Stanford Marching Band !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
