    O bam’a

The big O crater could use a new nickname as Oahu is Obama’s birthplace…

fine aerial shot — brings back happy memories of hiking to the lookout on the rim with my son, the Marine 1st Lt.

I still think he was born in Kenya, like his grandmother says.

That's not a birth certificate. It's a certificate of live birth. Why won't he let us see his birth certificate? Why have Hawaii and Kenya both sealed his public records? It shouldn't be that hard to come up with a real birth certificate and freely share that with the world IF one exists, but Obama hasn't come forward with that to put to rest the doubt cast by his grandmother and others. He may have well been born in Hawaii, but there exists doubt about it and I'd like to have it cleared up once and for all.

i didn't know about this controversy... US immigration offices should help if the respective Registry Offices' records are locked up. If he was born abroad there should be a resgistry of his entrance to the country as a child or baby with his family...?

Kevin (The Rocketeer), with all due respect, World Net Daily makes many claims which are plainly, factually, untrue -- not political opinions, just the facts.

Case in point: they claim that Alexa ranks them among the top 500 web sites. Actually, we can just ask Alexa, and the fact is Kevin, that World Net Daily is not even ranked in the top 2000 sites. World Net Daily is a partisan, conservative organization with a political stake in the 2008 election and in every election -- they are not a source to be trusted for factual information.

Kevin, you're a smart guy and you know better. World Net Daily is less credible than any of the many, completely nonpartisan organizations, some nonprofit media and some for-profit media, some government agencies, all of whom have concluded that Obama's birth certificate is legitimate and he was born in Hawai'i.

You can do the search yourself, but since apparently you've had some trouble doing so, here are a few more legitimate sources than World Net Daily:

      www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2008 /jun/27/obam...

      www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_ usa.html

      www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthcertificat e.asp

Those three are entirely nonpartisan and internationally respected. For a statement of irrefutable fact, I did not cite Newsbusters -- conservative, or Media Matters -- liberal, and I would never cite World Net Daily, and neither should you.
