A Full Second On Two WheelsHere's grandma, suitably impressed. ![]() Toward the end of the week, one of the training wheels came off of Ivy's bike. A neighbor (Jerry) was helping her with it when I stopped by, and I suggested he just take them off entirely. That day, I gave her a few push starts, and she managed to get 20 feet or so before wiping out.

Today, she was game to give it another try. After about 10 minutes of frustrating attempts at getting started (While Rose was toodling merrily along on her new training-wheel-equipped bike) Ivy expressed a desire to have the training wheels put back on. I informed her that it was never going to happen. Mere minutes later, she could bike to the end of our street and back with little effort. It seemed like an ideal opportunity to take some photos, and to try out one of the features of the 30D I haven't yet done much with, the high-speed burst. If you shoot in the some of the smaller JPG modes, the camera can do 5 shots/second until the memory card is full. These 5 shots are from the later part of a 19 shot burst, and have been composited together using Photoshop 7.
