Bali Kuta, Indonesia, Feb09

Our first stop!

Awaited arrival at Bali Denpesar after a 16 hours flight with Pauline, we drop the bags at the hotel Bendesa in Kuta, you can see the view from the balcony and the weather... lovely! (Feb is the rainy season in Bali!) Laure and Emily joined us in the evening and we celebrated the beginning of the holidays not with cocktails but with cheese and Muscat (hey hey!) brought up by Emily from France!

Kuta is full of shops for tourists. It is more of a surfing place thn a chilling place really and the beach is not great so we decide to head for the south peninsula, Bukit. First stop, Dreamland, a beach that used to be wild and nice but unfortunately got noticed by promoters and is now being built all over.

We then go to the first temple, Pura Luhur Uluwatu, a tiny little temple inhabited by millions of Monkeys. They jump on you and try to steal anything they can grab, earings included!

The next pictures you can see in this set are from Jimbaran, a little fishermen place still at the South of Kuta.

And then last but not least, we went for drinks in Kuta but these pictures are not uploaded yet and since the Internet is so slow and my pictures so big, I'm not sure I'll be able to upload them before my return! Enjoy!
