UK - Bristol - Harbourside - SS Great Britain - Surgery

August 2013.

Day trip to Bristol.

The SS Great Britain, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, was the most advanced ship of her time. She was the first passenger ship with a screw propeller. Launched in 1843 she was at that time the largest vessel afloat. She was later used as an immigrant ship, taking passengers to Australia and then as a coal hulk in the Falkland islands. She was brought back to Bristol and turned into a museum.
