candied herbs!

Several years ago I went to Turin and stumbled upon a candy store that had been in business since 1836 (http://www.stratta1836.it/). They had delicious candied herbs - rosemary, lavender, thyme, anise, etc and I bought heaps for gifts and for myself. Since then, I've looked everywhere for them and even wrote to the store to inquire if they were available for purchase online. No luck.

Last week, I saw on Flickr that my friend Elizabeth was in Turin, and asked her if she could sleuth them out for me, which she did! Molto grazie! (Her pix are here: flickr.com/photos/xeeliz/2635168615/)
