For me this reinforces who I support, without saying who, is that the same for everyone else?

They both have "know" and "think" in their clouds, not sure why wordle emphasized "know" in McCain and "think" in Obama's...it's just random, don't make judgements based on it!

... well it would seem you don't know what wordle is for then??. It emphasizes word Y based on frequency of use; high use, bigger text, not random. But yes, context removed entirely so judgments based on clouds not great.

Interestingly absent from Obama's cloud - change!

It'll be interesting to compare this with the next few debates as well.

@templestark good catch, along w/ McCain's "friends" both were expected way more then used.

Where is the word 'senator?' I see other titles in the cloud.

Or the candidate's names? I see other names in there, like Petraeus, why leave the candidates' names out of the cloud?

Makes me wonder what other words were left out.

@DmnJuice: you bring up a very good point.

i failed to mention that i removed some very commonly used terms from the transcript - like "senator" "jim" (the moderator) "mccain" and "obama" - since they were primarily used to address the other candidate during the debate. without removing them, one would have concluded that both candidates said the other candidate's name a whole lot, which is true, but not exactly what i was trying to represent :]

You shouldn't have removed the names. Barack addressed McCain several times, but McCain never addressed Obama. ( He never even looked at Barack directly.)

@Slugicide: to be fair - according to the transcript, mccain said obama's name 45 times, and obama said mccain's name 60 times
