But I never could find her. I suspect her body was decomposing under the salty silt around the edges of the lake. The one constant with the printed materials we saw concerning the Salton Sea was the unbridled optimism of the sportfisherman's paradise & recreational waterboating enthusiast's wonderland that was sure to be returning any day now. In stark contrast to the lake itself, 25 miles wide, 40 miles long & completely & utterly devoid of people. No swimmers, boaters, fishers, waterskiiers, jetskiiers, etc. No one in their right mind would go in the water.
