Hot Popcorn

i was thinking about this as i drove home tonight and it was pretty fun to make it come together. i think i'll make this my final entry for the first strobist lighting 102 assignment.

old vivitar manual flash with gadget infinity v2 trigger, gelled with rosco 1/4 Straw, in partially-inflated ziploc inside the bowl, two sheets of tracing paper on top of the ziploc to diffuse the light somewhat. i had some intermittent problems with radio reception inside a steel bowl.

580ex set to 80mm and 1/8, gelled with rosco CalColor 90 Green, about 1.5' away directly in front of the bowl, below the level of the rim and aimed at the bottom of the bowl. sheet of tracing paper held about 4" in front of the flash head to soften the specular highlight.

white posterboard background with white foamcore at left and right for further bouncing / softening of the fill.
