Kuidaore Taro

Kuidaore Taro by jpellgen.
Kuidaore Taro is a famous drummer boy thingy in the Dotonbori area of Osaka. People often pose by it as they do with many structures along this street. This restaurant, which was once one of the largest in the world, closed a few years back. However, the Kuidaore Taro was moved in front of Shin-Osaka Station to promote the sale of a new pudding as of April 2009.

Dotonbori is one of the liveliest places in Osaka, especially at night. Also, it is one of the sleeziest areas of Osaka at night. Either way, it's something you should check out if you are there. I have been down there many times and it's always exciting. I enjoy the 24 hour Tsutaya and of course sitting by the giant crab of Kani Doraku.

Yeah, I recently heard that. I wonder why... It is an Osaka institution for crying out loud! I demand legislation on this matter! Haha

I'm not sure... I haven't been back in about 9 months. I heard they were going to do-away with it though.
