So, I'm still alive. Yay! Obviously I gave up on the 365 thing a long time ago. But, maybe I'll get back into the swing of it.

The most exciting news in my life in the last little while is that I got my eyes lasered. I had Lasiks surgery almost 3 weeks ago. They did what they call "monovision," which means that one eye is slightly undercorrected. They do this to help avoid reading glasses for as long as possible. Its weird having 20/20 in one eye and only 20/30 in the other. If I can't get used to it I can always have the undercorrected eye re-lasered. So far so good, but the jury is still out.

5/12/09 I spent the better part of an hour walking, crawling, crouching, and laying in a field of beautiful golden wild flowers today. What fun! :o) This image evokes for me the feeling of prairie where the blue vault of the sky dominates and everything else competes for its attention.

5/12/09 Sometimes when I'm feeling low I'll cuddle with my late husband's childhood Teddy Bear. Its comforting and helps me feel a wee bit closer to my geist.
