Hi La Mariposa :) You might want to try placing the lights farther from the subject (?) ...although I'm not really sure if the distance really has something to do with it. I tried to place my subject near the lights once and i had trouble with the focus and getting the bokeh shapes too.

I haven't been able to get back to experimenting this though so I'm not sure if i'm giving you the right tips. Will let you know if I find anything new. Thanks! :)
