Elton Hoyt, 2nd

    Interlake's Elton Hoyt, 2nd, at Marquette's Presque Isle dock, sometime in the late 1980s. (The original Elton Hoyt, 2nd, was boss of the Pickands Mather [Interlake] fleet.)

    This ship is now sailing as Michipicoten.

    An old scan; we'll find the negative some day and rescan. Until that time, I rather like this picture.

      I love boats and tugboats and spent my childhood visiting grandmother near Two Harbors, Mn and went to Duluth to watch the big boats come in. Just saw the musical production of Gales of November of the sinking of the Fitzgerald ship 30 years ago on Lake Superior.
