M/Y Eclipse

M/Y Eclipse

Eclipse, the world's largest motor yacht, anchors her 538' just outside the entrance to St. George's Harbor in Grenada. Boasting a crew of 75, three tender, two helipads, and a mini-submarine it's a marvel of luxury and engineering.

Eclipse couldn't have chosen a better day to visit - the flawless skies and calm seas were simply perfect.

The Smiling Dragonfly

The Smiling Dragonfly

A smiling dragonfly was hanging out on my veranda when I arrived home tonight.
He exhibited just as much patience as the lizard and the mantis before him.

Full House

Full House

Nearly a full house at Port Louis Marina last night. Eight superyacht berths were filled by both returning vessels and first-time arrivals. At nearly a football field in length the massive 269' M/Y Alfa Nero is on the far left, while the returning M/Y Silver Shalis occupies the far right.

Evening Commute

Evening Commute

The evening commute from my office to our apartment leads me past this vista each and every day, with Glover's Island a short distance away and the airport runway lights below. Most nights the sun has already set by the time I make the short journey home, but on this occasion I arrived just in time to see the pastel peak of the day.

Northern Coast

Northern Coast

The beaches of Levera (bottom left) and Bathway (center left) lay 1,500 feet below on Grenada's northwestern coastline.

The enclosed body of water (center) is a protected wetland - The Levera Mangrove, while the strip of sand dividing the mangrove from the sea is a popular nesting area for the critically endangered Leatherback Turtle.
