Morning stretch
A Puffin on Staple Island, Northumberland stretching its wings having just emerged from its burrow. There was a little sunlight breaking through the morning sea-mist and the bird's feathers were backlit slightly. Canon EOS1D Mark II with EF70-200mm f/2.8L (IS) lens and EF1.4xII extender, handheld.
