About the photo:
- These are both White Page directories for the Greater New Orleans metropolitan area.
- The 2004 directory on the left contains 1086 pages of residential listings (= the part of the book above the blue line which separates residential and business listings) with ca. 300 listings per page; the new 2007 directory on the right contains 765 pages of residential listings with ca. 250 listings per page. (The new directory also contains a banner ad for Lasik surgery on the top of every single page. WTF?)
