Dont like the crop and the face and background is a bit undereposed. Interesting though.

Playing with Fire......she's beautiful. Like the top one.

square crop isn't that good, as the ear of the other person suddenly makes it clear there is another person. in the original I didn't know exactly what that was on that side, which works better for the photo. talking of which, the photo is very cinematographic, and very good.

    That's an interesting comment. Why?

I stared at the photo and couldn't for the life of me figure out what you meant by "the ear of the other person". Finally I stepped back away from the monitor. Lol. It's not somebody's ear. It's just an artifact of the smoke. But you're right. Now I can't look at the square crop without seeing somebody's ear.

Hmmm, okay. That makes sense. Although, I'm curious: what about it being "film-like" makes it a weak still image. I'm not complaining. Just interested.

are you sure it's just smoke artifact? looks like a face from the side (with ear), underneath a hat with something written on it in white. tried to look at the original, but suddenly I felt like the main character in Antonioni's blow up : only more puzzled :(

Ha ha ha. I know. Now I can't not see it. But I guarantee you there is nobody there.

  12. Jonathan Kos-Read (18 months ago | reply)

Yeah, that's cool. I get what you mean.

i'm still trying to read the letters someone put behind the smoke artifact.

I looked at it again. Zoomed in on it. You guys are right. That's a hat and an ear. How the fuck did that get into my picture?
