At the Calgary Stampede Parade, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Another one from the Calgary Stampede Parade. I (Lorien) love to watch the different Native Canadian groups participating in the parade the most. I love the traditional cloths, accessories, colors and beauty the native people bring to the parade. It also triggers many childhood memories associated with books I've read back then.
Being from the other side of the globe, I mostly learned about the Native Americans from classic literature. Remember Carl May's books? And James Fenimore Cooper's "The Last of the Mohicans"? As a young girl, I was enchanted by these stories. I read every fiction book I could find about Native Americans, and I was charmed... I still am today *s*.
