Ordinary Heroes

Ordinary Heroes

I've long been involved with the fire department since my dad was a volunteer fire fighter. I joined the fire department right after I turned 18. When I got to Clemson, I worked part time at the on-campus fire department. These were some of guys I worked on shift with who were always willing to help with my photography projects

"Riding the L" in film

"Riding the L" in film

Taken on the subway of Chicago, more commonly known as simply "The L". I believe I took this after the subway becomes above ground leaving O'Hare Airport. A kind looking woman was sitting in an anxious fashion in front of me, so i decided to try and get a good capture out of it.

Shot on Ilford HP5 400 35mm film with a classic Canon AE-1 with 50mm 1.4 lens. (manual focus) Image was scanned in from a 8"x10" enlargement.

On Top of it all

On Top of it all

When I was kid... we called it the Sears tower!

Taken atop the now 'Willis Tower' in Chicago.

A lot of people have been curious about this photo. The Willis tower has a sky deck now. There are several plate glass platforms that stick out from the top floor of the building. Giving you the ability to stand out over the city. It's pretty awesome!
