Godafoss

Godafoss

My friends, I'm deeply sorry I haven't been around for a while. I've been doing lots of stuff for school and work as well. As soon as I will have more free time, I'll browse through your perfect pictures and comment on them.

This is probably my the most favorite picture from Iceland. It was taken quite in dark while raining. I didn't even had to use ND filter, the dark provided an opportunity to shoot 30-second-long-exposure.

Going down to the water was a bit dangerous as I had to climb down the rocks (compare with the shot below how high the rocks were) and as it was raining, the rocks were kinda slippery. In the narrowest point only 15 cm wide. I was afraid of climbing up in the dark, but it wasn't that hard as I thought I was gonna be.

I hope you like this capture and enjoyed Thankgiving day (if you celebrate one, we in the Czech Republic do not).

Flying away

Flying away

Taken in Husavík on the beach. Me and my friend Choze went to take some pictures of the sea gulls. It occured us they might fly away as soon as we get closer so we swiched our lenses on telephoto before we approached them.
And we were right. As we got closer, they took off. So we have got a shot like this.
I like the background consisting of the lines.

Fumarole at Námafjall Hverir

Fumarole at Námafjall Hverir

It's a geothermal area near a Krafla volcano. Steam coming from these fumaroles is rich on sulphur and quite stinks (but you'll get used to it soon).
There is really hot water splashing from the fumaroles, so we made lunch on this one. We boiled the eggs. Have a look at this video recoreded by our tour-chief Roman.
