If you have photoshop, under the image tab select adjustment then select shadow/highlight. You may be able to tweak the levels with out over brightening or over saturating.

Just be careful, if you do it too much the photo will become grainy.

after that, if you still want to punch up the yellows and greens under the image tab and adjustments again, select color balance. You can manually adjust the individual color channels.
