B-17's fling on mission to Dusiberg Germany 28 January 1945

B-17's flying in formation on 28 January 1945 mission to Duisberg Germany

Lew Funk's mission log states: 1-28-45 Daisberg Germany, Marshalling Yard Lots of accurate Flak

Contrast enhancements of the tail numbers show these are ships 43-38257 "Tyson's Tramp",43-38382 "Queenie", and what appear to be 44-84441

This picture brings out two discrepancies from the mission logs for January 28, 1945 Mission #117 Duisberg at

valortovictory.tripod.com/1945-01.htm

1) The mission logs say ship 8382 Queeny was scheduled but did not take off - however, it is the upper left ship in this picture.

2) The ship in the high right position has 844 visible in it's number with some simple contrast enhancements. My guess is that

this is ship 44-8441. However, the mission logs don't show 44-84441 on this mission.
