And the Moonset in the west ........ Explored

Newer Older

Its got to be Large
I went out last friday night to have a bit of a play around in the moonlight
The weather was closing in from the east and it didn`t look like the cloud was going to break up as I was leaving town
I turned around and started heading home when the moon popped out so I headed out to an area I hadn`t planned
I was shooting a nice tree facing south when I realised the moon was going down and there was a nice area of colour reflecting off the clouds
I didn`t have much time to find a composition that wasn`t too busy
I just caught the moon in this shot before it started to disappear
I was also having to avoid cars coming over the hill directly under the moon .... another minutes wait
There was cloud blowing through regularly so I was quite happy with this result
I am gradually understanding how to get better results out of the moonlight
Its a lot easier having water to reflect more light
I need to find some more comps that have great sillhouettes facing west close to town
