Seven about to happen three different ways

For the curious: this was shot at 1/500s and f/11 with a bounce flash. The camera was on a tripod. I dropped the dice onto white tile (you can just see a reflection underneath the white die) and tripped the shutter with a remote. It took about fifty tries to get this combination. In post-production, I bumped the contrast and cloned out what was left of the grout lines. The dice are from a Star Wars monopoly game. I guess the Force was with me. :-)

Second place in Theme Competition #7: Lucky 7s. First place was {platinum}.

this looks particularly brilliant now that flickr has done away with the gray borders around the photos.

      Hey, that's neat.

yup, except it seems as though their background isn't 100% white as on my monitor I can see the difference between the photo and the background...

gotta go see what some of mine look like now!!

      You're right. It's RGB 254, 254, 254. Just shy of pure white.

    14. alterednate 85 months ago | reply

Wonder why they did that? I guess most people will see it as pure white - i see on my LCD at work that I can no longer see the difference.

Certianly changes a bit the nature of photos with whitegrounds and no border.
