Glowing Fitz Roy

This sunrise shot of the Fitz Roy Massif was taken from the popular viewpoint Mirador de los Condores. It lies about an hour walk outside of El Chaltén (the nearest village). Unfortunately I didn't have a car, because I would have loved to shoot from further away to include the now hidden hanging glaciers below Cerro Fitz Roy. Still, the intense alpenglow and the memories of me standing alone in the wilderness make this image very special for me (partly because Parque Nacional Los Glaciares is also home for a few pumas and the thought of them sneaking around me kept my adrenaline level higher then usual when shooting sunrises).
