"Follow The Path"

"Follow The Path"

This is a photo of Crosbys Landing in Brewser Ma. As soon as you got to the top of the path the bugs would swarm us to the point it was unbearable. I was hoping for a little more color and clouds. There was a storm that rolled across the bay about 20 minutes before, but cleared fast for an amazing sunset.

"Arrival of Colors"

"Arrival of Colors"

As the nights get cooler in New England the Colors begin to arrive and turn the State of Vermont into an amazing collage of color! How the process happens is beyond me. but here is alittle description........Autumn leaf color is a phenomenon that affects the normally green leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs by which they take on, during a few weeks in the autumn season, one or many colors that range from red to yellow. The phenomenon is commonly called fall colors and autumn colors, while the expression fall foliage usually connotes the viewing of a tree or forest whose leaves have undergone the change. In some areas of Canada and the United States, "leaf peeping" tourism between the beginning of color changes and the onset of leaf fall, or scheduled in hope of coinciding with that period, is a major contribution to economic activity!

"BeaverTail"

"BeaverTail"

The lighthouse is called Beavertail lighthouse and is located on the southernmost part of Conanicut Island is known as Beavertail, for its shape on the map. This rocky, windswept point looks south to the open Atlantic Ocean and separates the East and West Passages of Narragansett Bay. It has hosted beacons and lighthouses since at least 1705. The current lighthouse was built in 1856.
The lighthouse and the area around it is part of the Rhode Island park system. It includes a lighthouse museum, grassy, wooded and rocky areas as well as walking and biking paths. The rocky perimeter can be a place for peaceful contemplation or energetic climbing and exploration.
