we went to a discussion/performance tonight at this venue in brooklyn called southpaw. the event featured author rick moody as the moderator and john wesley harding (musician/author) and sufjan stevens (musician/author). my friends and i went mostly for the sufjan part and it was well worth the trip (...the 2nd time, on 11.28.07 we drove up to find out the show was canceled). through a series of random events we were able to get a photo with sufjan after the show. unfortunately, as you can tell - we weren't really ready for the picture... kind of funny. he was a really nice guy as expected.
