Exciting Works of Fiction
Today at work, a coworker said to me "you seem to be making a big splash with your photography work" and I carried that quote around with me all day and it helped inspire me to do this. While I was getting the scene ready a lady and her dog approached and she asked what I was up to (the lady, not the dog) and when I explained it to her, she asked if she could watch. It was kind of weird, but mostly funny and she thought the images that I got on my camera were neat, I certainly had fun making them :)

This might be my favourite photo I've seen of yours. The lighting, the focus, and the colours are just magnificent. I love the props and the clarity of the splash, as well as the bits of snow and the bokeh.
I've had a similar experience, although slightly more awkward, perhaps. I was taking self portraits alone in a park, and some older man rode by on his bicycle; he was likely in his early 60s, and was wearing a spandex one-piece cycling suit, that was zipped down far enough to reveal some chest hair; instead of riding past, he stopped about 20 feet away from where I was, and asked me if he could watch me, saying that he likes to watch photographers at work, to get ideas from them. "Fair enough," I said at first, and then just pretended I was setting up a shot on my camera, but I was feeling more and more creeped out with every passing second, and he wasn't moving, so I turned around and said, "You know, I actually feel rather uncomfortable about this, so if you don't mind...", and he left.
That is one reason why I do not like going out by myself to take self portraits. Haha.

People come and watch me all the time too, once this whole family were going fishing and they saw me on the way so they just stood there staring at me photoshoot myself, and I didn't bother at all ;P

Still something bothers me.. Wouldn´t it be more logical that it splashes in the moment you touch the ground, as a little agitation of your jump?
