Body Language

I was going to translate it, but I'll leave the fun up to you ;)

I went to a memorial service today which was a real bummer. I've never been to a funeral for someone younger than myself and it was such a strange feeling, our lives are so delicate and can be taken so quickly. It can be difficult working in the supportive field because you care so deeply for so many people, it's hard to let it all go when the time comes.

I use 'sign' every day at my current job and it's become so much a part of my daily communication that I sometimes don't even realize that I'm doing it. Last night while at the grocery store, I had called down the aisle to Scott and when he didn't understand what I was saying, I signed it out....which only made things more complicated...sometimes I even sign to complete strangers, most often it's "thank you". It's amazing how quickly new skills can become habit.

Sorry about the funeral...I know the feeling. It's an eye opening experience when it is someone so young.

I did an A-Z auction project for my daughter's school a few years back with each kid putting their hands through a slit in a piece of black fabric and photographing each hand making each letter. Turned out awesome...I think sign language is so beautiful! Great shot and very creative! m-

My sisters best friend when we were growing up was deaf, so from them two signing back and forth I able to pick up a tiny bit here and there. I was always spelling everything when I talked to her, so I am fluent in the alphabet, that was about it.

What a wonderful idea and you pulled it off so very well! As a kid my girlfriends and I talked to each other in sign so the boys wouldn’t know we were talking about them. Not the best reason for knowing the sign alphabet but I know it. Im teaching it to my daughter too.

I used to have to sign because there was a boy our age named Phillip, who grew up with us in our church. The church held classes, and one girl got so good at it she is now a translator! So awesome. :D Fantastic message.

Very cool idea for a shot! Came out really great, and love the message.

I took a semester of a sign class over a year ago and still find myself spelling out words in sign regularly. No signs to me tho, so I have a hard time reading it.. so it took me a while to translate this!

    Congrats on explore. :)
