Near some little shrines up the hill outside my office I noticed this little chair collection. On a hot day in June walking up the hill to the temples would be shattering and considering the majority of temple goers here seem to be at least 60+ it makes total sense to have a half way rest spot.

I don't understand the one behind the wall though. To sit on it would mean almost certain death.
